Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born to a musical family on 9 August 1963, in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel star Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and cousin of singing star Dionne Warwick. As a young girl, Houston started singing professionally in the choir of her church. She sang backing vocals for Chaka Khosns 1978 single Im Every Woman with her mom. In 1981, she briefly worked as a fashion model and also appeared on the Seventeen cover. She also provided back vocals for Lou Rawls and Jermaine. In 1981, she began singing with the New York-based funk group Material. It was her high-quality vocal performance of this group that attracted notice of major record labels such as Arista. In 1985, Whitney Houston's first album became the best-selling debut album of all time. The album contained several hit songs like How Will I Know You're Good to Me, Saving All My Love For you and The Greatest Love of All. It was instrumental in her achieving seven US chart-topping songs in succession and beat the Beatles. The album sold 3 million copies in its debut season in the US and then went on to make 25 million copies worldwide, earning it the very first one of six Grammys. The Whitney album from 1987, featuring the tracks I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Where Do Broken Hearts Get to continue her popularity. However, it was The Bodyguard of 1992 that made her one of the biggest-selling musicians in recent history. The movie and her role in it were not very popular, however the soundtrack as well as her version of the song by Dolly Parton I Will Always Love You was a hit for a few months on the charts and she sold nearly 44 million singles and albums worldwide. In the same year, she married Bobby Brown who was a ex- New Edition singer. She had their only daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown together in March 1993. It was about this time that her much documented substance abuse began. By 1996 she was an everyday addict.

Dana Bash also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz is an American anchorwoman for news and reporting as well as political correspondent for CNN. Her weekend programs are Evans & Novak Late Edition, Inside Politics and Inside Politics. In terms of honours and awards Bash was previously included in the Women in Washington Power List which was published by Elle magazine. Bash is widely praised for her amazing skills as an anchor/reporter. She is also a loving mother of her son, despite having graduated from George Washington University. She's been married twice. Her current relationship is not formal. Bash who is a determined and independent woman, loves her fans wholeheartedly. It is for this reason that she is an American journalist is extremely engaged on social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter. She keeps her followers updated with the latest events of her personal life.
