Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel, and jazz into his signature style. Her career path has taken her from Broadway to European concerts and festivals to even her participation in the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's given title is Denise White. Although she is a resident of Atlanta now, Sunshine is from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she began her career as a musician playing and singing at the local church. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on the Atlanta's R&B culture. She also lent her voice to the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. In 2005 she took on the role of the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her singing, asked Sunshine to join the Dreamgirls show during the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was recognized nationally for her daily shows in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform during President Obama's inaugural in 2009.
